Peter Fox

Polling day is tomorrow, the biggest vote in Wales since the Welsh Government came into creation in 1999.

This is the first time that a change of government is guaranteed. Labour, propped up by Plaid Cymru and the Liberals, have dominated Welsh politics for the entirety of the Senedd’s existence.

People have asked me, “what have the Conservatives done whilst in power in Wales?” The answer is that we have never been in power here, Welsh Labour have been for 100% of that time; a fact not everyone realises.

What have we done though is provide credible and fierce opposition to Labour, tackling them at every opportunity, and standing up for every community in Wales.

The Welsh Conservatives have always been a voice for our farmers and rural communities, supporters of a strong economy and businesses, and champions of every single resident in Wales.

We were the only party to oppose the expansion of the Senedd. Plaid and Labour nodded it through, and Reform endorse it. This is a waste of our money, funds that should be sent to our front-line services.

Why should 36 extra Members of the Senedd, at a cost of approximately £20m a year, be elected, when patients are still regularly waiting for over 12-hours in The Grange? They should not.

The Conservatives have fought this at every opportunity and will continue to do so until it is reversed.

In the next Senedd, we will maintain pressure to reverse the default 20mph speed limit in Wales, the ill-thought-out rural policies that punish our farmers, and we will make sure that Wales never goes down the route of independence, protecting our United Kingdom.

This credible opposition and policy making is only on offer with the Welsh Conservatives.

Plaid Cymru have one aim, independence, and would work with the Green Party to achieve this aim and break up our United Kingdom. Just look at the damage both parties have done to Scotland; do we want that here?

Reform are noise, theatre, and a one-man band. They have no credibility, cannot be trusted and would divide our nation.

If you’re uncertain about Plaid Cymru or Reform, trust your instincts and back the party you know will deliver, back the Welsh Conservatives.

No party can get a majority, there is no more tactical voting, and every vote goes directly to electing who you want.

Use your vote to re-elect me, Peter Fox, a representative who brings experience, trust and honesty.

Vote Conservative.
