Local MS for Monmouth, Peter Fox, met recently with the Monmouthshire Veterans Support Hub at their regular meeting in Abergavenny.
The group, which meets every Monday from 10:00 – 12:00 at St John’s Ambulance in Abergavenny, invited Peter to speak to members of the group about their concerns and issues, and to see how he could assist.
The Support Hub aims to develop a greater awareness of the support and services available to the Armed Forces Community, and to provide individuals with the confidence, knowledge and skills needed, whilst creating a safe space for the Armed Forces Community to engage.
Peter Fox, Member of the Senedd for Monmouth, and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure, Transport & Rural Affairs, has said:
“I was honoured to be invited to attend the Monmouthshire Veterans Support Hub and to speak to the group.”
“It was amazing to hear of the experiences and stories from these veterans, whilst also listening and discussing their concerns, and how I might be able to help.”
“Our veterans deserve all the support available after giving their lives to protecting and serving our country, and I am happy to be able to assist and support them in any way that I can.”
“I look forward to attending the group again in the future and I am thankful for the invite to this excellent and supportive group.”
