Our fantastic NHS staff have worked around the clock to ensure the safety of the public, both pre- and post-COVID, and I commend them for their tireless work.
However, it’s deeply concerning when anxious constituents share their serious concerns of the new Grange Hospital. Patients and families expect nothing less than basic principles of care and safety when in hospital – which sadly appear to be lacking at the Grange Hospital.
Constituents across Monmouth are struggling to get appointments with GPs and dentists. The Welsh Government has 20% more money per person to spend on healthcare, but Welsh patients are yet to see the benefits.
I will push the Welsh Government to get a grip of the growing crisis facing our health service.
Ambulance Wait times and Monmouth Ambulance Station
These concerns are in addition to the very real threat of Monmouth ambulance station being downgraded. I have passionately opposed the suggested downgrading. Ambulance wait times are already atrocious across the Monmouth constituency, and any downgrading will only increase pressures.
