Our fantastic NHS staff have worked around the clock to ensure the safety of the public, both pre- and post-COVID, and I commend them for their tireless work.
But it’s deeply concerning that not a day goes by when anxious constituents share their serious concerns of the new Grange Hospital.
Patients and families expect nothing less than basic principles of care and safety when in hospital – which sadly appear to be lacking in this sad case.
This is in addition to the very real threat of Monmouth ambulance station being downgraded (which I passionately oppose), and difficulties in seeing GPs and dentists.
I will push the Welsh Government to get a grip of the growing crisis facing our health service.
